I'll fully switch to Linux when updating an app doesn't kill some random os dependency forcing me to reinstall either the app or the whole dang os.

Don't get me wrong, I'm dying to but it is what it is. Munjaro Linux is super close to convincing me though 🤞🏽

what about #Steam ?

It works fine, I even got it to run windows only games with proton pretty stable but that's not the gripe. The main issue is that out of nowhere there's a random dependency that gets taken out with a seemingly innocent update or app uninstall and it borks the OS.

I'm learning about immutable distros but not liking it so far.

interesting, thanks for sharing... however I ve never heard about or experienced that on a stable point release distribution there were such issues... what's your base system?

Munjaro and antiX for now. I've tried debian, RHEL and Arch based distros all with the same issue. My next attempt to have a daily driver will likely be an LTS or immutable distro but have not decided. Any recs for a good immutable release are welcome 🖖🏽

TRY FEDORA, ITS THE ONLY LINUX OS THAT SEEMS STABLE TO ME PLUS GREAT UX. IDK ABIUT GAMING THO, TRYING TO MAKE THE SWITCH MYSELF
