I think your highlighter captures the best of both worlds.

The character limit (imo) creates flame-bait discussions on deep topics that need context to be understood.

That’s not to say short form is bad though. It’s good for banter and light discussion.

In long form, there are often individual passages that provoke deep discussion or are especially impactful. It is good to be able to refer to these in short form conversation, while maintaining access to the context.
