Sure, Bitcoin has privacy issues. Check out what Cashu is doing to help here. Monero has some positives but good luck maintaining SOV with it. Expecting more FUD from you nonetheless, seems to be your thing, good luck with that too brother.

Oh you don't understand, I'm not against Bitcoin at all, I remember 10 years ago it was very different, there was no moonboy, we used Bitcoin for the DarkNet and it was ok. Bitcoin is not strong because price is up, people don't understand it, they think like "Bitcoin make 10x it's a very good thing"... privacy is so important, it can protect you from bad people or crazy government. Just Monero is really really better for P2P digital cash because it's anonymous, we don't know who send to who and we don't even know the amount. The DarkNet is where we need to look at because they need the better thing able to protect them from prison. They use Monero now, Bitcoin is risky for them, and it's for us too if the government go really against privacy and freedom and I think they will go in that direction so I hope Bitcoin will be better but when I see the mining centralization by big companies and development in the hands of Blockstream which is backed by bankers... something tell me it's going to wrong direction... I really hope to be wrong you know, I'm for freedom and privacy, I share the cypherpunk vision so the satoshi vision too.

With all respect, I hope you're wrong too. Bitcoin will provide my family a better future. Considering giving more of my life to that very objective in fact.

Cashu is not sovereign and even Calle it's creator says not to conflate it with Bitcoin or scaling Bitcoin

Totally agree. I didn't make those claims. It does provide help with spending Bitcoin over Lightning more privately though.

But that was Calles point. It doesn't help you spend Bitcoin privately because it isn't Bitcoin. It helps you spend IOUs privately. It's just an improvement on custodial money.

It helps you spend what was recently Bitcoin privately. Period. No one in their right mind would hold significant funds in Cashu but use it as a spend through mechanism equates to "fuck EU".

That's great but I don't see where you are disagreeing now. None of that makes it Bitcoin.

It's interesting you said goodluck with Monero because of SOV when now you are saying "no one in their right minds" are going to hold their actual wealth on Cashu (understandably).

You can just use Monero as a "spend through mechanism" too, except unlike cashu, you actually self-custody your money.

We agree. We disagree.
