Only four hours? Rookie

I feel you 🫂 I recently had a similar experience

oof. hope the privacy and security was worth it

wat?

just helped set one up for a friend, set up itself took 5-10 minutes, 3h 45min was set aside for transferring 120 GB worth of backed up data through Google One

Copying data took 21 minutes. Signing into 197 apps and setting half of them up takes 4 hours.

jesus that many apps 🫠

You pay a high price for convenience.

I would spend 12 hours doing this if I could. I'd wipe it clean and revel in building it back with #FOSS. Honestly, it's a problem. I am an addict.

Been there and done that for many years. It's a huge pain.

GrapheneOS is pretty quick if you restore from your backup on a flash drive. You even use the old phone to install GOS on the new phone. I used to wait nearly a day for my iPhone to restore on our slow internet.

Am I the only one who starts clean (ok maybe email) and then adds apps when/if needed?
