Working in IT I have seen some strange things. Yesterday was one of those. I had a site that had 2 internet connections with failover the failover has been tested and is working.

I get a call that the internet was down at the location. I went onsite and both wan ports were dead on the firewall as well as the DMZ switch.

It looks like lightning hit the coax connection killed the coax modem , DMZ switch and both WAN ports on the Firewall.

Luckily I was able to put a backup firewall in place and get them up on a fiber connection but that was a strange one.
