If I am more or less skilled in some area than others does that not create a natural social hierarchy?

Coercive hierarchies are bad if we want to consider ourselves civilized & above "might makes right."

But more fluid hierarchies which develop as a result of merit & voluntary relationships are perfectly normal & even desirable.
