The Xitter Files were a limited hangout.

Elon “free speech absolutist” Musk has imo now demonstrated a pattern of leveraging Xitter for political ends - I will illustrate with 3 examples.

Image 2 - Musk meets with Turkish President Erdogan to chat shit (18 September 2023)

Image 3 - Musk threatens to sue the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) for organising boycotts against Xitter (16 September 2023)

Image 4 - Musk meets with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss antisemitism on Xitter (18 September 2023)

Image 5 - UK Prime Minister Sunak ‘warns’ war memorials could be desecrated by Pro-Palestine supporters on Armistice Day despite no group planning to march (4 November 2023)

Image 6 - Xitter unbans the accounts of Tommy Robinson (known for being outspoken against Muslim grooming gangs) and Katie Hopkins (outspoken on immigration) (6 November 2023)

This latest data point is blatant, two of the most vocal outspoken critics of Muslim immigration to the UK being reinstated days before a protest which has been getting a lot of coverage.

To what end? I don’t know. But why are they being reinstated now? Why not 2 weeks ago before any talk of a protest? Why not 2 weeks after it? Why not 6 months ago? Why is it happening right as a big protest is being feared, even though no group is saying they’re organising?
