About 7 years ago, I had an ayahuasca experience where I was told I would die in a year's time. It felt like truth, and I was devastated.

My life started falling apart. All my hopes and dreams were crushed. I was crushed. I had nowhere to turn.

I had been in chronic pain for twenty years, and one tragic event after another kept knocking me down.

I'm an extremely stubborn and resilient guy. But I hit my breaking point. I just about shot myself. It was a terrifying experience.

Then I suddenly had this urge to try something radically different. I had never tried praying to Christ.

I through it all on the table. I prayed for hours at a time, every day. I took away all distractions and just sat in prayer, day in and day out.

I faced some hard truths I had been running from for a long time. Truths that had been too heavy to face. But I couldn't run anymore. I just sat with it. It was so painful. I was broken. My life was broken. I was alone with no hope.

GOD HEARD MY PRAYERS. I was a non believer before that. But I know, without a doubt, He heard me and He answered my prayers.

He reached into my life and began to radically transform me. He opened my eyes to a level of truth that I wasn't aware existed. I had always been a seeker of truth, but I was blind to the truth of God, and Jesus Christ.

Five short years later, my life is so full of joy and blessings. I've received more than I could have ever imagined. I have found true freedom. Words will only fall short in attempting to describe to you what God has done for me and through me.

I can attest, that the claims of scripture, that the kingdom of God is worth more than all the silver and gold (and Bitcoin) , is in fact true.

If you don't yet know Christ and the Father of all creation, I implore you to seek Him with all of your heart. All else will only fall short. You will never find true lasting contentment outside of Christ Jesus.

I did die a year after that terrifying day. It just wasn't what I expected. I died and was raised up again in Christ Jesus, through baptism . A new man. A new creation. A new life.

To God be the glory. I pray that all who don't know Him, and the power and depth of His love, would experience the true freedom that comes to you when you accept Christ as your Lord and Savior.

If He was willing and able to redeem a life such as mine, I assure you that He will do the same for anyone of you. Humble yourself and pray that He would come into your life.

Wow. I have never read a testament quote like this one. Thank you for sharing. šŸ™šŸ§”

Also I can help but wonder: have you returned to ayahuasca since the first experience?

I consumed ayahuasca 7 times in total. Once Christ came into my life, I stopped talking psychedelics all together (after twenty years of occasional use) . I have no need or desire anymore. Not to say that couldn't change in the future.

One of the first times I took it, I had a group of flying beings come to me and scan my soul. They reached some kind of consensus, then planted this glowing, pulsating white orb type thing in the center of my being and told me to guard it with my life.

I know believe that they were angels, and the pure, whit pulsating light was in fact the Holy Spirit. It was after this experience that my eyes started to open to Christ.

I was a heathen. A sinner, through and through. Very little previous knowledge of Christ or the gospel. I thought Christianity was a form of control and completely made up.

I could have never imagined becoming a Christian, let alone having a burning desire to lead others to Christ.

Beautiful! 🧔

The reason I asked is because when we were in Peru and visited some curanderos there, I was actually surprised how much Christianity was interwoven into many of the ceremonies there. Many people treat it like church, attending every week, just like taking the sacrament.

Wow awesome

Your ability to correctly interpret the messages the spirits send you during an Ayahuasca trip or deep meditation/prayer/trance etc. is just as important as the message itself.

I'm glad you found a path that brings meaning and fulfillment to your life but Jesus Christ was just a teacher, a man, not to be worshipped, not a God.

Like Buddha. A man who through spiritual practice was about to obtain a higher level of consciousness and then devoted the rest of his life to teaching and serving humanity.

He's the Messiah. The one that was prophesized about for thousands of years. He fulfilled hundreds of prophecies. He rose from the dead. With hundreds who witnessed it. He was not just a teacher, He was God who came in the form of man. If you miss this truth, you remain deceived from the evil one. I encourage all to read the Bible and contemplate it. Most have not even read the Bible, and have come to these conclusions from simply outsourcing their beliefs to general consensus. A grave mistake.

Thank you for sharing. What a testimony. All glory to God

God will answer us if we just talk to Him.

Not religious

Content in my life

Tired of people trying to convince me that their religion is the only way to be happy.

By all means believe what you want just don’t try and convert me.

Not saying you can't find contentment. There's always temporary contentment. The question is how they fair in deep suffering, or near end of life for example.

Not trying to convert anyone. Simply sharing truth, because truth matters and has consequence. Only God can open our eyes to His truth.

Subjective truth, not objective.

Absolute truth. The kind of truth that remains throughout all time and under all scrutiny.

Wouldn’t Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists (add any other religion you like) say the same thing but about their religion?

I believe absolutely that there is no god. Can you provide me with any verifiable, non anecdotal, evidence to convince me that only your god exists and all the others a hokum and / or every other religions interpretation is wrong?

If Abrahamic god does exist why did he give different messages to the Jews, Christians and Muslims? If he’s all powerful why allow for the confusion? Even within these branches there’s confusion; orthodox, Roman Catholic, Church of England, Methodist, Shia, Sunni. Are you trying to tell me that an all powerful god can’t even manage to communicate the proper way to worship him to us? And don’t give me any ā€˜free will’ BS. If he wants us to choose the correct religion and brand there of what possible reason could he have for marking it so difficult?

ā€œUnder all scrutinyā€? No religion stands up to even the most light handed interrogation. Whenever the argument relies on ā€˜you just have to believe’ that’s a hard out for me. I can believe in Santa all I want it’s never going to make him real.

Believe in whatever makes you happy but don’t try and tell me something is truth based on the fact that you and some people you know believe it.

The evidence is the 300+ old testament prophecies that have been fulfilled. And the biggest evidence is Christ raising from the dead. Witnessed by hundreds of people. It was the most well documented event in history.

No god you say? Where do you think this world came from?

The fact that there are countless religions, doesn't change the fact that there is one objective truth. There can only be one creator. It goes to reason that all except one are false.

The countless variations of Christianity doesn't change truth either. If God wanted to be worshipped a particular way by everyone then maybe He would have made it more clear.

Under the new covenant, the message is the same to all.

I don't believe it because it makes me happy. It has hard consequences. I believe it because I know it to be true.

And yes, other religions will say the same thing. But only one of them is right.

300+ prophecies - such as?

Rising from the dead the most well documented event in history - so well documented the only place it’s documented is in one selectively curated book.

It goes to reason that all but one are false - or all are false. There is no hard verifiable proof that there is a god or gods.

How do I think the world got here - dust a gasses coalescing around a star.

Where did these magical gasses and stars come from?

Do you have any proof that this dust somehow magically transformed into such a beautiful world with sentient beings?
