Nostr Web Client

I now have a 2017 MacBook Pro, 16 GB, 512 GB SSD that’s a spare, but the battery is toast, so it must be plugged in; basically a server.

What should I do with it?

snoop around here https://community.start9.com/t/known-good-hardware-master-list-hardware-capable-of-running-startos/66 or better yet check in with the start9 telegram chat, very helpful and responsive community. if you got start9 on there you could run btc core, lightning node, lnbits, nostr relay, simplex server among many other self-hosted applications 🤙

word. still, decent hardware. I'm running pop_os on an ancient macbook air, just for fun. I mostly use it for obsidian

Maybe buy an external NVMe and run bitcoin + lightning + private nostr relay

Why would I need the NVMe?

For the full node blockchain. 1TB

Replace the battery and give it to someone that needs it
