i personally barely see like 3 emails a day, and most of them are work related
using nostr and preferring to work with nostr and lightning email is becoming less and less important to me
email was captured, pretty much, by google, and proton is basically squeezing the people who don't want to be locked into google's spy machine... notion killed that other proton competitor, i forget what it was called, they had a credible competitor for gsuite and now gone, gee i wonder why they did that
fuck them all, we making sovereign internet and their cattle yards will be vacant pretty soon
I see zero emails per day. Emailing someone when they could call or drop by is disrespectful. Never tolerate disrespect.
i prefer it to a phone number
used it recently to attempt to coordinate a purchase of some local home-grown eggs
i missed the email though because i so rarely get them but i hate phones worse than i hate email so idk...
in general, notifications are a real problem... the more places you have to look, the less likely you will see them, and the more you get, the less likely you are to disable DND on your device and miss messages... so, can't win lol
but i'd rather email than a call
i probably need to try and do something about notifications, they tend to just be so noisy when you enable like two things to do it and then suddenly everyone tries to get at you
I want an email that let's me set my price for receiving an email, and adjust it for different senders. If I see spam, auto trash it unless they pay me 1000 sats. I'll look then, then trash it. If a job wants to inundate me with pointless junk, fine, but pay the toll. Or just don't be disrespectful and come speak like a human being.
