Your NIP-05 ID is not the same as a relay but nostrplebs offers both I think.

One thing you’ll want to do is make sure you’re turning off any relays in the Global/Universe feed that you don’t want to read from. You can still write to them all, but limiting which ones you’re reading from will clean up your feed a lot.

It’s the unfiltered everything feed, you definitely want to tame that so you aren’t seeing spam. I don’t even know what it looks like anymore since I’m using the nostr:npub1fyvwkve2gxm3h2d8fvwuvsnkell4jtj4zpae8w4w8zhn2g89t96s0tsfuk filtered relay.

Feel free ask questions. nostr:npub1sgd5ceneda56t8spknlvx3wq8mpk05e6ypg4rk4xf62u8mt7zz6smx4hn0 There are many relays now a days that will actively distribute and collect events from other relays so I technically you could limit your relays to a hand full and still get most of the events happening across #Nostr.

For example strfry relays do this very well and we just so happen to have a public strfry relay on YEGHRO https://nostrpub.yeghro.site is one of these relays. Our prive relay-https://nostrelay.yeghro.site is a nostream relay you can add if you want a more clean feed with minimal spam as it is a paid relay.

You'll need to find a good balance. You'll never completely get rid of spam but relay devs are doing a great job getting very close to it and adding some paid relay to your list will help tremendously.
