can you implement countries & state & city and also gender.
So that means when I click on someones city it will give me a list of all the profiles who have entered that exact city. This would be great for finding people in the same area as us because currently it's difficult to find friends in our city. Same with gender and other things.
we are going to have geohash communities, so you will be able to create a post within your city
i think amethyst is doing something similar with geohash, not sure if there is already a nip
Yes. It has that feature already but that's not what I wrote about. I wrote about a search feature for finding new users. Like a optional database. So you can see a list of users in a specific city.
i think the main issue here is privacy, but having that info on the profile for those who opt in might be interesting
Yes that's why I wrote optional. The majority of users will opt in because on Facebook people love writing what city they are in and their interests because Facebook allows us to search for profiles because cities including interests. So it's extremely easy to find many people with similar interests and setup a weekend trip.
Facebook was the king of Social Media because it was easy to connect with others around us. In spite of that many users on Facebook still chose not to write their city in their profile and it worked fine.
It's all about optional. Not everyone wants to hide.
Amethyst already has that. It's useless to find other profiles. When users use that feature , It's just a post that states they are currently there or was there at that specific location in the past. Not really good for finding new profiles.
