45 hours in. Taking a walk helps so much when fasting. I highly recommend it. I even got to see a ton of turtles 🐢 Thanks nostr:npub1q6ya7kz84rfnw6yjmg5kyttuplwpauv43a9ug3cajztx4g0v48eqhtt3sh

There's a Bitcoin meetup nearby for genesis day but it's really up to a coin toss whether I'll go just to drink water out of my thermos.

Hey! That's good news! I'm really glad that my suggestion is helping. No turtle pics? For shame!

I took a walk sans phone for the experience šŸ˜‚

Imagine a bunch of turtles swimming around in a lake by the boardwalk while someone throws bits of feed at them. There were small striped ones and bigger plain ones.

This is acceptable. Good!

Since you're nearly at 2 days, do you perceive any heightened perception?

I'm oddly alert and tired at the same time. My focus is definitely improved and I noticed every bird or squirrel I passed by on my walk.

I have an eye appointment tomorrow, maybe I'll see clearer too? Haha

I'm very curious about that.

Me too. I'll definitely let my doctor know I've been fasting.

Maybe after the test so as to not influence them?

She's pretty good, and it's better for them to know what state a patient is in before examination. I wonder if she knows anything about changes in eyesight during fasting.

I suppose.

My fasting never came up during the appointment lol. And I forgot to ask.

Oops. We're your eyes better?

I don't think so. They mostly just have to tweak the lenses nowadays.

Cool. It's good to not have a drastic change to one's eyesight.

How’s it going? Just wrapped up 5 days. Day 4/5 doable! Take it easy and be in nature/off tech as much as possible if you can.

It's going well. My stomach's been grumbling all day, but it's manageable.

Congrats on getting to 5 days. How do you feel?

I added pinches of salt to my water. Not sure if that’s cheating by other’s standards but helped. Found I was very thirsty days 2-4. Maybe because I flew day 1 so was on my back foot with hydration.

I feel really light. Had a goofy day today, which was amusing. I didn’t feel too hungry at any point. Or it passed after 2 hrs at any point. Nature helped a lot.

Could have gone longer mentally but body signaled to call it today. So listened. Maybe next time longer.

Good luck! Listen to yourself! Hunger feels like an illusion now so that’s a nice perk. And insights were strong!

Salt has helped me a lot, because I was getting headaches. Taking walks outside has been helpful to me too. There's something about walking that takes your mind off you for a while.

For now, I can keep going. My body will definitely let me know when to stop, I think.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm surprised at how many people on Nostr have done this fast.
