The paw paw trees are almost blooming. Kids and chickens love it ... I don't. Edible and native to my area so I'll grow it.

I just planted 3 pawpaw trees last week. I hope they grow.
I got them from Nick Ferguson at rareplantstore.com
I transplanted a few I guess last year and I think the year before. I need to check on them and see if they made it through the winter.
I have a friend in my area that has them all over, but he literally never gets to eat them because raccoons.
My wife has me on a hunt for them since she found out about them, supposedly they are native in our area, but I’ve never seen one in my area of Michigan

Paw paw is on my list of trees to plant eventually. Are they easy to grow? Bothered by pests much?
