We make about 6 cups which is the max our machine can handle. We store the batch in a loaf pan which works pretty well. Our favorite way to store the ice-cream is to reuse Oui yogurt cups, but it takes so long to fill those suckers!
We’ve had rain for days. 😭 I hope we’ll get some sun soon. ☀️
A couple months ago, I finally had enough of reading ice-cream and “frozen dairy dessert” labels at the store. Finding real ice-cream without artificial additives and cheap ingredients is becoming increasingly more difficult. So I bought an ice-cream machine and have been making ice-cream instead. A little extra time and effort is totally worth the delicious results. So far we’ve tried chocolate/caramel, banana/rum, blueberry cheesecake, and maple with various additions. I haven’t quite made the time for custard style recipes or anything exotic yet.
Who else is experimenting with ice-cream? What are your favorite recipes?

And that would be one heck of a zap! ⚡️ ⚡️ ⚡️
I should try this recipe. The ingredients look about the same as those in the mayo I buy. But that one is a bit pricy.
Remember when they said it was a conspiracy and there was no way they were going to take away your gas stove?
“New York becomes the first state to ban natural gas stoves and furnaces in most new buildings”
“The law bans gas-powered stoves, furnaces and propane heating and effectively encourages the use of climate-friendly appliances such as heat pumps and induction stoves in most new residential buildings across the state. It requires all-electric heating and cooking in new buildings shorter than seven stories by 2026, and for taller buildings by 2029.”
No gas furnaces? Last time I checked NY gets pretty cold in the winter and electric heat is not very efficient. What about gas dryers and water heaters?

Yet another reason not to live in New York.
I know how that goes! One shopping trip and $75 later, I’m wondering when will I ever plant all these seeds. I finally planted 2018 micro greens, spinach, and arugula a couple weeks ago. The seedlings are just starting to come up. Last year, I planted some cucumber seeds from mid 2000s and a few actually came up! 😳
There are also 210,000 blocks in each #Bitcoin epoch.
This! Back of the envelope calculation shows that the #Bitcoin network uses less energy than Americans use to dry their laundry. For all that energy, which one is more useful? 🤔
1 and hence I know that the button belongs on the left top not where it is.
I remember when the Atari clones came out where it was like a tiny 2600 and it had like 50 games loaded on it. They were at Walmart for like 30 bucks and I bought one.
My millennial son scoffed, laughed when I said, lets play some games. After getting his ass kicked by his old man who'd not played a video game in 25 years, he decided, "these games and this stupid controller my old man calls a joy stick for some reason is stupid".
We still laugh about it.

Ha! Started with #5, finished around #9. No, actually, started with #2 at friend’s place. My mom still has my old SEGA and games in her closet. 😂
I used very large chips we had left over from clearing a portion of our property a few years ago. That worked well and I was glad that it lasted for three years without major decomposition. Seemed reasonably good at deterring weeds too, except at the edge of the bed. I topped it off with smaller chips this spring.
In 2021, I gave one acquaintance an opendime with 0.002 non-KYC Bitcoin, and he promptly added it to his Coinbase account. 🤦

SS100 are the best!
Absolutely love the scent of these. The color is not bad either.

Anyone have a good alternative to perennial grasses for covering large areas? Anything fairly robust and low maintenance?
