Instead of sitting in a classroom all day, my son experiences life while with the ppl he most wants to be with - his parents.

Homeschooling is one of

THE BEST decisions I’ve ever made.

We are not rushed.

We do his school work in less time than it took to do the school run.

He spends more time in his own rhythm and doing things he loves, with other homeschool kids too.

He doesn’t have to ask permission to move, to eat or to go to the bathroom.

He understands that he is lucky.

Good choice - no way in hell we would send any of ours to the local school. They love the #homeschool curriculum we’ve created and we love the interaction with them.

Yes!!!! This makes me so happy!

¡Exactamente! ¡Bien dicho! ¡No podría estar más de acuerdo!

I spent almost all of my educational life in a boarding school and a university hostel. I have a lot of good memories and met good people, sure.

But the academic experience was miserable and it felt like I was jailed up and held hostage by those institutions, their systems and their exams.

Only after I got out and started learning things by myself that I thought were necessary for my future at my own pace for my own self-interests did I start enjoying the learning process.

Wow. What Proof of Work you have on this topic! What strength of character you must have to have managed yourself in that system! 💪🏽

I personally went through the public school system and knew it didn’t recognise my strengths , autonomy & desires so I chose to put my son in a Rudolph Steiner School, as Steiner’s theories and approaches to children is incredible to me! But alas, my son came home complaining of the same things I did when I was his age. He was only enjoying lunch break when he could run and play outside.

So I listened.

When my year 12 of high school approached all my classmates were excited about their next steps. And it dawned on me that I had wasted years of my life applying zero effort in class and my grades reflected that.

All I wanted to do was travel but no one was doing that back in the early nineties in my small country community. I felt horrifyingly lost, aimless and ashamed.

Thats when and why I picked up a substance habit - my self worth took a huge hit.

Luckily I managed to kick it three years later and found my way to purpose and meaning in my life.

What interesting lives we have all led @ Sachin
