I think sharing posts like this helps encourage others to take their health seriously. When you're obese for so long you start to believe there's no way out.

Food is a powerful addiction. Unlike drugs or alcohol, you *need* to eat. We're surrounded by junk food, and billions of dollars are marketed to promote it. Government diet recommendations are also terrible. You can feel like you're doing everything right, according to the "experts," and still be making zero progress. Super frustrating.

Switching to keto changed my life. Going from that to carnivore ~4 years ago trained my brain to view food as fuel. I still get sugary cravings. I don't think they'll ever go away.

I remind myself daily that I'm in control, not the food.
