It's crazy the things that can send them into a trembling terror. My dog reacts this way when the smoke alarm goes off due to cooking, or especially low battery. That high-pitched, single beep triggers a nervous breakdown.

He jumps up into bed, and gets as close as possible to me, sometimes pushing me out of bed. And he shakes terribly. I have to hold him and pet him gently while telling him what a good buy he is. I feel so bad that he gets so scared, but we always get through it. 🐕🐶❤️
