Although I retired from the Army almost a year and half ago, I finally got my Retirement Award today. A fellow officer with whom I served over 20 years back is now in my unit from which I retired and came to present the award. It was good to see him again after all these years.

We met and had the presentation at the iconic Gold Star Memorial in Barboursville, WV.
