Today we held a Farewell Luncheon for our long time farmers market director, Shelly Keeney. She has been instrumental in helping our farmers grow by helping us sell products to the local community. Best wishes to her in her new job, and best wishes to The Wild Ramp Market in finding and hiring a new Director who will be as good and better than our outgoing. That will be a tall order.

Although I retired from the Army almost a year and half ago, I finally got my Retirement Award today. A fellow officer with whom I served over 20 years back is now in my unit from which I retired and came to present the award. It was good to see him again after all these years.
We met and had the presentation at the iconic Gold Star Memorial in Barboursville, WV.
