You can receive bitcoin payments in cashapp. Cashapp to cashapp, or receive via lightning or on chain.
Unless I’m misunderstanding, it looked like the new strike feature allowed you to receive Bitcoin even when someone sent you USD (strike exchanges it I assume)
Cash App is definitely already a great tool for all forms of Bitcoin payments (L1, L2, and custodial)
Ohhhhh I gotcha, yea it does say it that way in the Strike settings. For payments to you that you didn’t initiate, the payment is received in whichever currency is your default. For payments that you initiate a request for, it says they will still be received in which we currency you used to create the request.
What about payments sent in sats from non-Strike users?
Good question. I’ll test it on myself
I sent 21 sats from my wallet of Satoshi to my strike lightning address and received it as sats into my bitcoin balance. No change to my fiat balance 🔥🔥🔥
And just sent it back out to my wallet of Satoshi directly from the bitcoin balance
