Reading The Bitcoin Standard by nostr:npub1gdu7w6l6w65qhrdeaf6eyywepwe7v7ezqtugsrxy7hl7ypjsvxksd76nak this morning. I was moved by the highlighted paragraph, connecting a high time preference in monetary terms to a high time preference elsewhere in society.

This helps explain the societal decay we are experiencing in the USA. It also provides us with the solution: transitioning to a sound form of money that encourages savings (low time preference) over mass consumption (high time preference) will repair the societal issues we face today.

If only there was a sound form of currency with a fixed supply……
