I do not understand goldbugs view on #bitcoin.

„But is could fail“

Yeah but gold HAS failed.

I‘ll take an uncertain win* over a certain defeat anytime.

Same here, it's mindbuggling, but I also have seen the opposite where bag holders of gold/silver switched in part and/or mostly to #bitcoin. And most of those did the move back in 2011, 12, 13.

Then, there's the other ones with the bags left the same I suppose.

Yeah I think the ones who understand it do this right away. The others are stuck with some weird cognitive dissonance

I guess goldbugs are only trying to protect downside.

And they’ll risk massive upside to do so.

Too bad most with this viewpoint won’t take the time to learn why Bitcoin won’t fail…

I was thinking the same but came to realize Gold is not even protecting the down side. It failed as an inflation hedge. It’s useless. It’s failed money.

To steel/(gold?)man the argument, bitcoin hasn’t really been in a position to be successful or fail historically. While gold has done both already, so it could seem more likely to come back than adopt a whole new one.

I completely disagree but wanted to get the goldman wordplay in 🤣

I can respect a good wordplay as motivation 😂
