Nobody lies to me at work ever.

That’s nice. Every indication I get is a lie chosen from a menu of predefined lies that will satisfy billing…

4/1 😂

I wish I were kidding.

Honestly, it only get irritating when someone calls later to waste my time to ask a question that could have been specifically answered in the report but they simply didn’t put it in the order. The answer is always “no” and it takes substantial time to get patient info, find exam, re-review, and addend report.

I think I’m just gonna refuse to addend report for nonsense like this. Radiology is a low margin business. Our only saving grace is remarkable efficiency…we have essentially zero efficiency for dealing with old exams.

🫂 my favorite thing to do at work is to have to call rads to clarify a report for an imaging study I did not order bc the jackass that ordered it didn’t put the question in the order.

The hospitals 🏥 play a role in inhibiting communication between physicians. There exists software that lets the ED doc attach a voice memo that gets played when the radiologist opens the study to read…we don’t have it but I’ve seen it in action elsewhere. But the hospital buys that kind of stuff…and it doesn’t obviously help the hospital, to the extent they can comprehend physician workflow.
