Nice! How long did that take? I'm growing them for the first time this year
These were planted by crowns, this is the 3rd year I’ve had them. You can pick them in the first few years but you only want to take a couple. It’ll take longer if planted by seed
Sorry I thought this was on another thread talking about asparagus, these took 2 years
They usually take a year of growth before they really start to produce a lot.
Got my first ones too 😊 
It's hell keeping the slugs away from mine... Gotta make a beer trap a few times at the beginning of the season to flush em out. 🍻
They don’t bother mine too much I think the wood chip mulch keeps them off mine. Deer eat the leaves but I’m armed with red predator lights this year
Mine are in ground too. That's a big reason why.
