PC? There isn't a lot of LN wallets for desktop, Alby is also custodial.

LND and C-LN are for node operators, I don't know.

For a good non custodial wallet on phones I'd recommend Phoenix.

You control your own keys and channel, they just manage your channels for you for a fee.

(Right now, the fee to open a new channel is around 15000 sats, which is pretty crazy. )

What do the people of Ecuador use?

The fee for opening channels will be super high on anything right now, so if you want to go non custodial you'll need to pay the fee to set up a channel.

Try looking at Mutiny wallet. It's a web app so it'll work on both phones and pc.

Thank you.

What’s the website for Phoenix wallet?

#asknostr

Mutiny is asking for 40k right now 😳

Oh, looks like it’s only on phone….

Mutiny is a web app, it'll open anywhere.

But 40k setup fee is high.

Phoenix is in the app store. It's made and ran by Acinq and uses splicing for channel management.

Funding tx costs around 15k

Breez is also non custodial.

Don't know their current fees though.

But if you want an option for PC with low fees and don't mind if it's custodial, Alby is good. But they are struggling with all the traffic they are getting today as well.

Same story there, having to open a channel if you don’t have one and fees are crazy high right now because shitcoiners are stamping their jpegs into the timechain like crazy again.

Yeah, I just forked out 15k to enlarge my channel with Phoenix because my node is still down. 🥲 (Synching a new one)
