follows restored - thanks for the code
I see several people with lost follows lists. A while ago I made this to fix it for myself. It retrieves the follows lists from many relays and assembles a new follows list, which can be reposted to restore your follows.
Perfect now time to learn what all that 133t speak is…
Cool tool, thank you. I had this and it happened everytime I saved a relay list with iris immediately. The relay list got nuked after logging into snort if it helps.
"my loss of follows was that one client 'forgot' about all the follows in the kind 3 event which didn't have a relay attached. I have not tracked down which client this is, I'm using a whole set of different Nostr clients and am unable to reproduce the issue."
OK, I tried it. To no avail.
It's cool that you took the time to work on it and make it available, but it's just way too complicated to run for a non-tech person.
I had to create a GitHub account I have zero use for, then learn how to import the repository. Then learn how to install nodejs, then install a boatload of other stuff I have zero use for needed to run node, then tinker with settings, dependencies, path variables, etc. and even then, when I managed to run the thing after a couple of hours of battling with all that stuff, it hasn't solved the issue.
Most likely I will just dump Nostr after this. This really broke my patience and motivation.
