From Revolver onwards, so friggin' amazing
music is so subjective, so no right on wrong comments...
but it's hard to discount albums pre Revolver. Different production and composition but considering where music had been prior to 1963 when the Beatles hit, I think there are so many gems from "A Hard Day's Night" "Help" and "Rubber Soul".
George Harrison, often overlooked as a song written during those recordings has two stand outs - imo
- I Need You (Help)
- If I Needed Someone (Rubber Soul)
the more you listen to these tracks the more they deliver... masterful 🤌
Did you ever hear those great singers from Brazil called Boca Livre performing 'I Need You'? You might find it on You Tube. The reharmonizations are soooo sweet. There's great stuff in the whole Beatles catalog, of course. I'm just pointing to a point where my young brain was like, how ridiculously good ARE these guys? George's guitar break in 'Got to Get You Into My Life' reset many, many guitarists' reality forever.
