Hey everyone,

Are there any libertarians here? Or what would be your philosophy/political view of the world? Any philosophies, ideas, principles that you think are important?

And for specifity when I mean libertarianism I mean principles like:

- Free Speech

- Non-agression Principle (NAP)

- Voluntary interactions between individuals (Voluntaryism)

- Self-sufficiency, self-sovereignty (Bottom-up & Autonomy)

People like:

John Locke, Auberon Herbert, Rothbard, Mises, Hayek, David D. Friedman, etc, etc...

These ideas are important to me. It's the basis of my philosophy. And then there's also the moral/"spiritual" philosophy that I get from a combination Buddhism, Christianity and other stuff. For example, the 5 Buddhist Precepts are a simple and important moral code for me.

Are ideas important to you? If not, how do you see life and the world? I'm just wondering because see there's a lot of love for #bitcoin and I wonder what each individual's philosophy (philosophy or politics) behind that. How people really think, if there are principles behind behaviours, etc...

I'm at a point where I believe that human beings need to have an organized hierarchy of principles, otherwise we will fall for other people's principles. And we all know the problem is other people's principles might be not be good at all for us and the people around us. This is the reason why this topic interests me.

Also feel free to join the Libertarian community at:

Thanks!

I wrote a Philosophy book in detail which mentions rights, among other things. But mostly I value exit. The right to get out of a system and switch to a system you feel works better.

I wouldn't consider myself a pure libertarian. I'm just a guy that think government tyranny has gone far too far. Especially after COVID. Which is why, post-COVID at least, I've started increasingly associating with libertarians.

I'd certainly much rather live in a libertarian society than in the society we seem to be heading towards becoming.

Hi nostr:npub1da0dxt3jkwy4r6xlk3825ncpecg9j4m2ygzdf7ukd0ct0l6yddkqv8azct, welcome to Nostr! :)

Yeah, I have a lot of libertarian friends, some are a bit extreme with the no-state perspective. But in the end I think the intention is really what matters.

Like you, I much much rather be surrounded by libertarians than run of the mill statists. Which is clearly the mainstream society we live in...

I have to read that and your work on the rural world. That should be very interesting too. Welcome!
