We’ll probably see AI-based ad blockers as a response. Sounds like a model that wouldn’t need to be too big.

It's now yet another hoop to jump through (identifying and removing adstream) to get to content created-as-intended -- further deteriorates the legitimacy of these services to distribute content, generally

Adding (any) barriers between users and content is ultimately a bad thing because content should traverse freely. Creators seek to get the best terms to spread to the widest audience and be paid directly. The traditional models centered only for the sake of fiat-payments can only go so far. In a way I feel like the history of the internet will repeat itself.... eventually users and creators-alike will be squeezed so hard to move to alternatives.
