About 90% of media I see in my feed on Nostr are reuploads of viral/trending videos I see on X. Why create when you can reuse ♻️😂😭

Yeah. I think still not many people have seen the latest video I made on nostr, while trending feeds are full of videos copied from X etc

That's why I boost #mastodon posts.
Because (a) I was never on X and never will, and (b) we can actually (in principle) interact with people on the #fediverse
In contrast, nobody on X will ever hear back from you.

I think mostr tended to import a ton of spam in the past, but I could be wrong
Yeah IDK, not my experience I guess... At least for all the hashtags I follow of non-bitcoin interests, almost all of the posts are from Mostr.
There are certain servers that do produce nothing but spam (specifically some weird sort of news-copying sites), but those are pretty easily filtered out.
The problem with Mostr is it's one-way, the other server doesn't hear your comment (99% of the time -- there are weird exceptions). Momostr actually has 2-way communication working, but the operator intentionally crippled discovery. 🤷

I just find the simping for X users... sad.
X is like the "hot girl" in the 80s comedy teen Nostr pines after, but she doesn't know he exists and never will.
Meanwhile Mastodon is the somewhat more awkward, nerdy girl who WILL actually talk to Nostr but he's not into it. Nostr needs to hook up with Mastodon, X will be jealous but who give a F.
Ima biased AF cause my own experience with Twitter came right as it changed to X.
Then everyone offered me blue sky invites but my heart was broken so I went offline a long time. Once returning to X hopped myself over to BS as quickly as someone offered .
Then to here. Bridged for awhile then went all in for #Nostr after realizing most people TRULY don’t care about freedom. Most just want to be coddled completely.
