Fair point, do you know of anyone building Lightning address support into a self-custody wallet?

Your missing the point. And keep in mind your talking to a guy that lost his shirt on Mt Gox:

Just one thought:

1.think of your lightning wallet as your “bill fold” you carry only a small amount of cash(cash for the weekend, or night out), rug pull won’t affect much.

2. Think of your “software” self-custody wallet as your checking account.

3.think of your hardware/cold storage as your savings account.

If you think that way, fees/convenience dominate the lightning wallet choice. And just like loosing your billfold (it sucks) but won’t affect your destiny.

Features/convenience dominate the “software” wallet. This wallet is self custody and keeps a month or so of working cash. Typically hooked up to an exchange for moving coin in and out, and sending to your LN wallet.

security dominates the cold storage wallet decision (e.g. multi-sig air-gap multi-vender etc…)

Doesn’t Mutiny now support this? And Zeus just announced they are about to roll it out too, I believe.

Running a lightning node on mobile with self custody of funds.

I know Mutiny has support for Nostr and zaps as well, I think Zeus will too.

Awesome, stoked for those! Will definitely add them to our guide once they launch / roll out the update.

Sounds good! I’m pretty sure Mutiny is already out now FYI! I still need to test it myself, but:

Yah still in beta, I will add it once it is out of beta
