thinking about how much work i put in trying to get bsky to treat each other like fucking people for once. and how this place doesnt feel like it needs that work. are there people i think are very shitty here, who advocate for harm to people i care very much about? yes. but so does twitter & also everywhere else. like i have had one (1) person say something to me they maybe wouldnt have said to my face (talk shit get hit) and. everyone else is, as far as ive seen, acting like an adult about things. i may diametrically oppose you and all you stand for, and. that doesnt mean you dont have a right to be what i consider a shitty person. just as i have a right to not associate with you

Well this place is built by folx that have an appreciation for freedom and personal responsibility - sadly lacking in most soshul media dens. Nostr still has it's hiccups but is slowly progressing into something I actually enjoy using.
People here are more open because they're hungry for Freedom of Speech. π€ #Nostr is pure Freedom and with its aligned #Bitcoin incentives it will definitely win!

Change takes time, when I first heard of BTC. It was because at my work we had a client that had mining farms telling us which coins to buy. This was in 2017. I didn't know about crypto twitter until twoish years ago.
NFTs in mass population made it more fun imo and easier to consume the idea of. Plus crypto games. Looking forward to seeing how things evolve. Many jumped on adult NFTs when everything was super hot
