At least from my perspective down in the US, it’s so hard to imagine a demographic of rural forest dwellers voting for that type of government.
This penality is for those starting fires intentionally. It make sense to make it cost a lost since it cost a lot to fight forest fire and the dommage it can do to properties.
The 25k$ walking and fishing ban is in Nova Scotia. This ban does not make sense.
