Waiting for low interest, reasonable LTV loans and lines of credit to be offered with bitcoin as the collateral. In this area, housing is the king.
Discussion
It absolutely was. I agree. But that is changing. I believe within a decade the idea of “houses always go up in value, it’s a safe bet” could be corrected to “houses are potential liabilities” and “Bitcoin will always go up, it’s a safe bet”.
Let’s see how it plays out!
I assume it will change, as I believe bitcoin is the new M0 (monetary base unit) and a new Extirs pyramid will be build on top of it. I expect to see the change in 2025 as the BIS will allow up to 2% bank reserves to be held in bitcoin.
Bitcoin over collaterised loans are available, around 8% rates. Currently can’t get the same LVR as fiat, but I’m ok with that. Still counter party risk, but allows you to borrow to buy a home while retaining bitcoin exposure. “Have your cake and eat it too.”
8% !! Show me.
$250k retail, will lender more to corporate structure. Change is coming.
