Using washi tape to hold tissue paper to card stock to run it through my printer is a pain, but the results are worth it. Original French text about the fashions I’m using as reference for my #nostrichnovember project.
I like having lots of parts ready before I start working on a mixed media piece. Next up is printing some vintage maps of Paris.

What kind of printer? And it doesn't get jammed? Pretty cool idea!
I use a Canon Pro 100. It’s a top-feed inkjet, so as long as I put enough washi tape along the edges, and feed 1 page at a time, it works. I initially tried on my HP laser jet because I’d prefer the print not run when I add liquid, but I could never get the hand-feed to work and trying to bend it around the auto feed was a bad idea (very jammed, very torn; curse words, tweezers, and lots of patience to undo that mess).
I use a soft brush and matte gel medium, so the print doesn’t run that much. Seems to soak in better in the tissue paper than regular copy paper or card stock I’ve tried.
