I do my best to have an always-on VPN, and double-check before I open any nostr apps

Sounds pretty good. I am just trying to assess the risk!
I would just assume it’s not particularly private, so be mindful of what you post, and take basic precautions, but for a low-stakes social/informational profile it’s a pretty easy experience
