Nobody konws what this Russian military radio broadcast is for, but since it sends messages very rarely, each one perks people up a bit and imaginations start running wild.
it's interesting how many systems have some ancient core to them
for example Intel Architecture, Windows, our DNA ...
i can see the RT story but i can't read any of the replies unfortunately because i don't have an X account ... without that info, will not guess what the significance is ...
but i had a thought the other day that if we do go to war with China it will be over the control of AI ...
that is - we can't allow China to have AI of unlimited power. AI is far more dangerous than nukes because for the most part nobody is insane enough to use nukes. AI has similar power to nuclear weapons except it not only can be used but it can be used without anybody even knowing it, and it can do basically anything - read minds, make people immortal etc.
not current generation AI but eventually. it makes all other resources like Gold and Oil irrelevant by comparison.
people worry about AI becoming self aware. i am not. i am worried about who will control it.
AI weapons are selective, whereas nukes aren't. AI weapons don't seem as scary since there is no mystical invisible "radiation". That makes AI weapons both acceptable and highly effective. Therefore, IMHO, AI weapons will dominate the coming wars.
I can imagine massive swarms of small drones going into a city and killing 30% of the people... all of the people of the wrong political bias, or the wrong religion, or the wrong ethnicity. Genocide is on the rise. AI guns that shoot these incoming drones down are going to be important. Probably Iranian bunker tech is also going to be important.
Whilst there is a possibility of drone warfare being used in this way, a more scary vision would have the AI selectively using algorithms to show individualised trigger points that would get people fighting each other, if enough of these trigger points get triggered, we lose everything...
you're talking about using AI as a replacement for human intelligence ... so like making suicide cockroach robots that crawl into your shirt pocket and explode inches away from your heart killing you
i'm talking about using AI in ways that we cannot yet imagine and using levels of intelligence that, again are inconceivable to us today
i am talking about collecting information through a variety of means and creating such a complete model of a target ( such as president ) that you know their every thought and as a result are able to control that president the same way you want to control that remote cockroach - not directly, by through a game of chess where you're always a few steps ahead.
that's the power Israel cannot allow China to have over America, because Israel now has that power.
