The government will make an example out of someone. It will probably be X, rumble perhaps meta. It takes governments a really long time to do anything. Wait to see how that pans out and I’d adjust accordingly.

The goal in this situation is just to not become the example. That’s why the smaller websites dipped out. If they are the example they can’t afford it.
The government would go after nostr, clients and relays if nostr became a threat to their power. If big protests or anything of that sort was being organized here, nostr would become the example.
It's already started. The legislation has been in the world for years, as of last Monday it is apparently being enforced.
