Brutal ascent but rewards the whole way up with a bench at the end to smoke a fatty 💨.

I walk/hike it down, so the whole way is more like ~5mi.

About to start doing the way down barefoot.

& If I'm not running, I'll do round trip barefoot.

Nice. I like a good climb and smoke break with a view.

I also like to hike barefoot. Grounding feels great. I think there may be a beneficial exchange of bacteria and fungi from barefoot hiking in the woods.

There definitely is an exchange like you're describing & fungi is definitely a conductor of various currents cycling through your body & back down into the earth 🍄‍🟫.

The foot & toe health benefits are exceptionally underappreciated as well.
