this to me sounds like paying $300k for healthcare

There are public healthcare in Argentina? Even a not so good one?

We have in Brasil, but most people also likes to have a private one because in some cities they have to wait months for the treatment.

I mean, there's something called public health care, but that's like saying the peso is money
