Democracy is a scam.
While still in prison during the Nuremberg Trials, Hermann Göring gave an interview to the psychologist Gustav Gilbert.
Göring said:
âOf course, the people donât want war. Why should some poor farmer want to risk his life in a war, when the best he can hope for is to return to his farm unscathed? No one wants war â neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is obvious.
But, in the end, it is the leaders of a country who determine policy. And getting the people to support that policy is easy. It doesnât matter whether itâs a democracy, a communist regime, a parliament, or a fascist dictatorship.â
Gilbert replied:
âBut in a democracy there is a difference â the people can have their say through their elected representatives.â
Göring answered:
âSure, thatâs true, but it doesnât matter whether the people have a voice or not, they can always be brought to do the bidding of the leaders. Thatâs easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and for endangering the country. It works the same way in every country.â
