Yeah I mean Discord-style is just so alien to a lot of normies above Gen Z. These people love their Facebook groups

I experimented with that UI for a long time in Coracle (see groups.coracle.social), and my conclusion was that feed-based groups are actually a terrible UI metaphor, whatever you're familiar with. Which is why in flotilla I did forum-style threads + chat. But I get your point.
