isnt that the 'external libraries' function? i just started using it. the first thing i did was point immich to my existing photo directories

I tried that too and it imported everything but didn't give a damn about the folders. Then I googled and found some python scripts to achieve that (so I am not the only one with this problem 😄). I bailed out at that point though. I wanted to evaluate it as solution for my family and running python scripts ain't it.
