Hard work.. But dip in to global every now and then!
This is the #1 reason people aren’t flocking from twitter in droves imo
Having your main feed sorted by “most recent” is just the worst
Please expand why?
You’d rather the algorithm steer your thinking?
I’d like to choose an algorithm to stimulate my thinking
Or one that fuels my degenerate thirst for dank memes every once in a while

That’s the one thing nostr is missing right now, algorithms
we are the algorithm.
relationships grow over time.
i look at the “posts and replies” feed on damus, and follow people who say clever things.
i also look at the following list of people i particularly like, and check out the profile of people i dont know. those two actions are enough to grow an enjoyable feed over time
1. Follow famous accounts in topics you care about
2. Follow hashtags you care about
3. Block accounts which spams a lot
4. Go to global and back often
5. More or fewer relays?
6. Free or Paywalled relays?
That's my process for an pretty ok feed, well I am at step 4.

I’m still very new to Nostr but it occurs to me you could implement multiple clients and subscribe them to different feeds (users & tags).

Via primal you can add feeds of other users direct into your homepage and you can swap in between yours and them this way it’s a good start to improve your own feed !
