We're all guilty of wishful thinking.

Hopefully Bitcoin gives the world a shorter dark times, i.e. the opting out of the current systems accelerates.

But unfortunately those in power (both political and kinetic) will probably stick to trying to use that power to keep us in the dark....

And maybe it's true that majority of us are incapable of learning new habits and it will be our descendents who can truly benefit from a fairer system and turn it around.

The old needs to die....
