Great insight. I didn't know this.

There are many towns in Germany associated with salt and their names contain "hall". Eg. Bad Reichenhall, Schwäbisch Hall, Halle Saale, ...

Also there is a 1000s years old salt road across Germany: Hellweg.

I also learnd recently that natural salt with >80 minarals is a healing substance. (not the refined NaCl)

Yes history shows…and what I’ve learned, that most of these cities are quite “advanced” like university cities…also Salzburg…because they say, salt makes intelligent 🙃

Salt used to be money. Soldiers got paid with salt (sold/salary). That’s also where the name soldiers come from 🤗

There are people that say salt is unhealthy…and propagate a salt free diet. But IMOP I’m pretty sure salt is necessary for pur health. But yes, natural salt, without additives like fluoride or flow aid (Rieselhilfe) and anti-caking agent (Antiklumpmittel).

Salt in moderation is healthy. As always, the dose makes the poison. For example, a Sole is great for remineralizing and revitalizing water :)
