Funnily enough, someone uploaded that to Plebs and I watched it the other day
It's quite startling what some people have been/are getting away with saying eg the Hasan piker clips that get shown in this video.
But yeah, the video probably is quite illuminating as to the mindset of the 'cancelling' going on here. (It's also not just a maga thing).
It's still not really comparable imo. At the peak of 'cancel culture' people were getting hounded for the stupidest, mildest things, things which they said 10 years ago etc etc. This is people celebrating a murder, and in some cases encouraging more of it.

I uploaded it, but the Plebs compression completely destroyed the video quality and synchronization. I don't know if my own external optimization would have fared better, but I had a hell of a task with an 800 MB 4K Webm (gross) file.
I watched this and couldn't take it seriously. I was completely glued to fishtank for every season and I know the kinds of unspeakable things sam hyde inflicted on people for entertainment. he cannot sit there and convince me he's a good christian boy.

I think it is more a case of when you have been shot at for a long time, it is nice to shoot back. Cause and effect. People take a long time to get angry but they stay angry for a long time. If you play on a see-saw - sometimes you go up, but you have to come down.

I mean, Charlie Kirk was just canceled permanently for trying to have a debate with people. Not quite the same as pulling a show off the air, is it. And Iβm sure heβs still welcome to continue sharing his opinions on BlueSky (or Nostr), so I donβt think his right to free speech is being violated here.
Kimmelβs comments were illogical and maybe a little insensitive, but not getting canned worthy imo. My bet is his ratings were so bad, they planned to do it anyway and seized the opportunity to go out in an incendiary way
What he said was not a joke. He presented a fact that he knew is false and meant to incite. Thatβs why he got punished. And they are sick of him and his bad ratings and this is just an opportune time.
