Oh my goodness!! I can’t even ! Terrifying. I can only guess you were gardening and reached over to grab something. The imagination alone is enough to upset me. So glad you are safe. I am absolutely snake phobic. I can’t even see pics without freaking out.

What do you do if a snake is that close? Is it safe to move? I’ve heard to stay still if a venomous snake is very closeby because the vibrations from moving can scare them, making them strike.
I do not like snakes. Of any kind. They’re neat on YouTube or in their area at the zoo. But they’re called “nope ropes” for a reason.
Copperheads are usually pretty chill and not aggressive unless you step on one or get too close. Today i was reaching down to grab a water pail when i noticed it. I just moved back slowly, but it made my heart jump.
