In 2017, Trump labeled Qatar as “a major funder of terrorism” and urged an immediate end to its support. By 2025, his tone had shifted dramatically, describing the U.S.-Qatar relationship as a “very loyal, great, beautiful friendship.”
The stark contrast raises questions about what prompted such a dramatic reversal in stance.
